This section explains how JVS Switchgears Pvt. Ltd. (“JVS”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you contact us or browse this website. It is intended to align with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDPA”) and, where applicable, equivalent international standards.

Last updated: 3 May 2026. This is a v1 draft. We will publish a final, lawyer-reviewed version before the site moves to its production domain.

1. What we collect

  • Information you provide directly: name, company, role, phone number, email address, city/state, and the contents of your enquiry when you fill in our contact form, subscribe to our newsletter, or email us.
  • Technical information collected automatically: IP address, user agent, referring page, pages visited, and timestamps — collected by our hosting provider for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic measurement only. We do not run third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or behavioural-tracking scripts on this site.
  • Browser storage: a single key in your browser’s local storage (jvs-consent) so we don’t show you the privacy notice again. We do not set tracking cookies.

2. How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry, share product information, prepare quotations, and provide after-sales support.
  • To improve our products and the way we communicate, based on aggregated, non-identifying signals only.
  • To detect and prevent misuse of the website (security and abuse prevention).
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations under Indian law.

3. Lawful basis (DPDPA)

We process your personal data on the following bases under the DPDPA: (a) your consent, given when you submit a form or subscribe; (b) the certain legitimate use of responding to your enquiry and providing the goods or services you have asked about; and (c) compliance with applicable law where required.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the following processors, strictly to operate our business:

  • Netlify, Inc. (USA) — website hosting and form-submission processing. Netlify acts as our data processor under industry-standard data-protection terms.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) — bot-protection (Turnstile) on form submissions, when enabled.
  • Our internal email systems used by the JVS sales and support teams to respond to you.

We do not transfer personal data to any country listed as restricted by the Indian Government under DPDPA § 16. Where data is processed outside India, it is handled under contractual safeguards equivalent to those required under the DPDPA.

5. How long we keep it

  • Enquiry / contact-form data: retained for up to 24 months from your last interaction, or longer where required by a contract or by law.
  • Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe; we will action unsubscribe requests within 7 working days.
  • Technical/server logs: retained for up to 90 days for security and abuse prevention.

6. Your rights under the DPDPA

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erase data that is no longer necessary, subject to our legal/contractual retention obligations.
  • Withdraw consent at any time (this will not affect lawful processing already performed).
  • Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
  • Lodge a grievance with our designated Grievance Officer, and ultimately with the Data Protection Board of India under the DPDPA.

7. How to exercise your rights

For any privacy request — access, correction, erasure, withdrawal of consent, or grievance — please email privacy@jvsswitchgears.com with the subject line “Privacy Request”. We aim to acknowledge within 7 working days and respond substantively within 30 days, in line with the DPDPA.

8. Grievance Officer

For grievances under the DPDPA, please write to our Grievance Officer:

Designation: Grievance Officer, JVS Switchgears Pvt. Ltd.
Address: Hyderabad, Telangana, India
Email: privacy@jvsswitchgears.com (subject: Grievance – DPDPA).

The named Grievance Officer will be appointed before the site moves to its production domain.

9. Security

This site is served only over HTTPS. Form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to submitted data is restricted to the JVS sales/support team. We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards in line with the standards expected of an Indian manufacturing business; however, no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

10. Children

This website is intended for business users. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our forms, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices evolve or as the law changes. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this section, with an updated “Last updated” date.
